Our Therapists
Rachelle is the owner of Advanced Therapy Care and has operated this practice since 2003. She earned her Master's Degree in Speech Pathology in 1997 and a Masters of Education in Human Exceptionality in 1998. Rachelle has practiced in the field of speech pathology for 14 years. Her areas of expertise are Adult and Pediatric Dysphagia, as well as Infant and Toddler communication delays. Rachelle lives in Mountain Home with her husband and four children. She enjoys scrapbooking, camping and spending time with friends and family.
Becky received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University in 2005. She treats patients of all ages with a variety of needs but particularly enjoys working with the pediatric population. She also enjoys treating adults in the Home Health setting and is a Certified e-Stim Therapist for treating swallowing disorders. Becky's undergraduate training was in Child Psychology and she utilized that degree as a Child Life Counselor with terminally ill children. She enjoys camping in the summer and spending time with family and friends.
Allyson received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University in 2002. Allyson has seven years experience working with adults and children. She particularly enjoys working closely with young children and their families. She enjoys working with therapists from other disciplines to understand the whole child. She enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her husband and daughters.
Christy received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1998. She has 13 years of experience working with adults and children. She enjoys treating adults in the Home Health setting and is an e-Stim certified therapist for treating swallowing disorders. Christy enjoys the rewarding aspect of helping improve the quality of life of her patients. She recently has had the opportunity to renew her skills in the pediatric population. In her free time, Christy loves spending time with her husband and three daughters.
Amber received her Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University in 2011. She has worked in a variety of different settings with pediatric and adult patients, but particularly enjoys working closely with young children and their families with the Infant-Toddler Program. Amber has 10 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities as a Children’s Developmental Specialist and a Service Coordinator. In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with her two boys, her husband, and their dog.
Gale has over 25 years of experience working with adults and pediatrics in the acute/rehabilitation hospital, outpatient and home health settings. Gale had develped, consulted, and managed several interdisciplinary dysphagia programs throughout the United States. She is trained in e-Stim treatment for adults and has served on the Board of Directors for the Neurodevelopmental Treatment Association. Gale has presented nationally on topics of dysphagia and Neurodevelopmental Therapy. Prior to moving to Idaho, Gale was an Adjunct Professor at Miami University, Ohio teaching graduate courses in dysphagia. She is presently a member of the Advisory Board for SpeechPathology.com. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family.
Lisa received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University in 2001. She works with a variety of patients, but particularly enjoys working with the pediatric population and autism spectrum disorders. Lisa's undergraduate training was in Elementary Education. Lisa has lived in Mountain Home since 1982 and has raised five sons here. She enjoys family gatherings and spending time with her three grand-daughters. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, Neil.
Amy is originally from California where she received a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2006. Prior to graduating, she spent a year in Honduras learning Spanish, and loves being able to use it! Amy has enjoyed working in the hospital, rehab, home and clinic settings, and especially loves serving the Infant-Toddler population. She is a proud military wife and loves spending time with her husband, family, and being outdoors, whether in the yard, at the beach or in the mountains.
Jennifer received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology with a Minor in Child Studies from Miami University in 2006 and a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from The University of Toledo in 2008. She has worked with children and adults in a variety of settings, including long-term care, early intervention, and schools. She particularly enjoys treating children with articulation and phonological disorders. In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, biking, and spending time with family and friends.
Taunya received her Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Northwest Nazarene University and her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University in 2008. She has enjoyed working for Advanced Therapy Care for the past 3 years. She treats patients of all ages with a variety of needs, but particularly enjoys working with the preschool and elementary age students. When she is not working, she enjoys time with her family, playing volleyball, working on home improvement projects, and shopping.
Beth received her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University in 2011. Her clinical experience includes working with children in private practice, outpatient hospital, and school settings. Beth has Lee Silverman Voice Treatment certification and enjoys working with the adult population. She also has an interest in feeding and swallowing and uses the SOS pediatric feeding approach which includes sensory considerations in feeding intervention.
Kendra received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Puget Sound and her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, CA. She has experience with adults and children in the school setting. She particulary enjoys working with the pediatric population. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys.
Scott received his Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Brown-Mackie College with honors and is a member of the Idaho Occupational Therapy Association. He is licensed and certified in the State of Idaho. Scott customizes each treatment plan to address the client's needs and goals while taking into consideration the client's environment as well as their strengths, weaknesses and interests. He is married and the father of two. Scott enjoys floating the Boise River, coaching and playing ice hockey, watching college football games and spending time with his family and friends.
